The Books of the Bible

March 15, 20261 min read

How many books are in your personal library? Yes, this question is very subjective. The answer will depend on a lot of factors. Some people do not like to read for pleasure, others do. Some only read certain types of books. Others may be a collector of books and not a reader (cannot imagine, but have heard things).

The point is this, when you look at a person’s collection of books and they have claimed to have read the majority of them, it says something about them. This is true of those who also listen to audiobooks and those who may have many ebooks. Those who are readers may not have a particular genre that they prefer, they may like a wide variety. Other people choose to read only a certain type.

One of the great things about the Bible is that all genres are contained in its pages. The Bible is a collection of books bound together in one volume. Thirty-nine in the Old Testament and twenty-seven in the New Testament.

Within those sixty-six books are bits of history, geography, sciences of all kinds, mystery, intrigue, words of wisdom, doctrine, and all types of human interest accounts.

God’s Word is multi-faceted, profound, and the only absolute truth in this world.

The Bible is the inerrant, divinely inspired word of the Almighty God of Heaven, the Creator and Sustainer of life as we know it. He longs for you to open its pages and learn of Him and the purpose-filled life He desires for you. May we all seek to be Bible students who regularly open His word to gain knowledge of Him and His message for mankind.
