Godly people from each generation want to pass on to the next how important their spirituality ought to be.

Providing the next generation with the needed information and proper example to emulate is a responsibility that each generation must accomplish so that the Lord’s church remains vibrant.

How well that is done will be seen as the years go by.

The children of Israel had some generations that treated God properly and then there were those who did not. What the next generation does is their choice, but if the previous generation does well in teaching and modeling for them how to be pleasing to God, that choice will be made in the best way.

Yesterday, April 25th, 2026, one such effort to help and aid the next generation to be godly in their lifetime was made. The third annual youth rally was held here at Pacific.

This is being written well before the event took place. So, this article is not about how well the event went, but to note how important it is to hold such events.

This writer was raised in the church and attended many such events as a teenager. It is not the only thing that shaped my faith, but it is among many things that did.

May all of us at the Pacific church of Christ continue to see the need to foster the spiritual growth of our youth.

This is of the utmost importance. The Bible teaches us to honor all people, our youth should not be ignored, dismissed, or thought of only in a secondary fashion.

They are not only the church of the future, they are an integral part of the church now!
