Did You Make Time For God?

“Time and tide wait for no man” was penned in the Canterbury Tales by Geoffrey Chaucer in the 14th century. That phrase has been changed over the years and you may have heard it as “time stands still for no one”.

The meaning is the same.

Despite what may occur in a person’s life, time continues. The divinely inspired writer of Ecclesiastes wrote this There is an appointed time for everything.

And there is a time for every event under heaven—’.

The book of James explains to us that our life is but a vapor indicating that time passes quickly. What is the point? Well, no matter what may be happening in your life, time will continue until the One who began time decides to end it. One day time will cease and eternity will begin for every person. Some have already ‘stepped’ into their eternity. Many of us have not made that transition. Those who are still living, have the opportunity to affect where they will spend eternity as opposed to those who have left this life.

For now, time is continuing. That is a fact. It is also a fact that you can determine your eternal destination by how you choose to use the time you have been blessed to have. What are you doing with your time here?

May all of us begin and continue to use our time to know, honor, and obey the God of Heaven. The same writer of Ecclesiastes wrote that the whole duty of man is to fear God and keep His commandments. Every person ought to desire to be right in His sight before time is brought to an end. Please make the choice today and every day to be what He desires for you to be.
